By accessing or using Snipcast.io (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Snipcast provides AI-powered summaries, transcripts, and notes from audio and video content provided by the user via URL links or direct file uploads.

3. Accounts and Subscriptions

• Free Tier: Users are granted a limited amount of usage. We reserve the right to modify these limits at any time.
• Premium/Patron Tiers: Paid subscriptions unlock higher usage limits, full transcripts, and additional features. Payments are processed securely via our third-party payment provider. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled prior to the end of the current billing cycle.
• Account Security: You are responsible for safeguarding your sign-in credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

4. User Content and Acceptable Use

You retain all rights to the files you upload. By providing a URL or uploading a file, you grant Snipcast the necessary permissions to process the content solely for the purpose of generating your requested summary and transcript. You agree not to use Snipcast to process content that is illegal, infringes on third-party intellectual property rights, or violates any applicable laws.

5. Shared Links and Public Visibility

Some features create shareable links for generated summaries. Anyone with the link may be able to access that summary. You are responsible for how and with whom you share those links, and for ensuring you have the right to share the underlying content.

6. API Usage

If you access Snipcast via our API, you are subject to specific rate limits and usage guidelines. Abuse of the API may result in immediate suspension of your access.

7. Billing, Renewals, and Refunds

• Paid plans automatically renew unless canceled before renewal.
• Pricing, plan features, and quotas may change over time.
• If taxes apply, they may be added at checkout.
• Unless otherwise required by law, payments are non-refundable after the billing period starts.

8. Third-Party Services

Snipcast depends on third-party infrastructure and service providers (for example hosting, payments, email delivery, abuse prevention, and AI/transcription providers). We are not responsible for outages, errors, or policy changes caused by those third parties.

9. Intellectual Property and Copyright

• Snipcast and its software, branding, and website content are owned by Snipcast or its licensors.
• You represent that you have the rights or permissions needed to submit, process, and share content through the Service.
• If you believe your copyright is being infringed through content processed or shared via Snipcast, contact [email protected] with sufficient detail for us to investigate.

10. Termination and Suspension

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, abused the Service, or created legal or security risk. You may stop using the Service at any time.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

Snipcast is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, non-infringement, or uninterrupted availability.

12. Limitation of Liability

Snipcast is provided “as is.” We do not guarantee that the AI-generated summaries or transcripts will be 100% accurate, error-free, or suitable for your specific use case.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Snipcast and its affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, revenue, or business opportunities arising from your use of the Service.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Snipcast and its affiliates from claims, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising out of your misuse of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.

14. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by applicable law in the jurisdiction where Snipcast operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in competent courts in that jurisdiction unless otherwise required by law.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
